Every product of Emalco Enamelware is handmade and every imperfection gives it its uniqueness.
Enamelware can last for generations. Wouldn't it be amazing to leave such a relic to your great-grandchildren? Imagine the history connected to it: camping with friends, dinner on the porch, travels and adventures...
The history that will be written on your enamelware can enrich it or damage. It all depends on how your enamelware is treated. Here are some rules to help you save it for years to come:
Tea or food can stain the enamel. That's natural process and don't worry when it happens
You can use the enamelware on the induction cooker, gas and electric stove, in the oven, in the bonfire, in the dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
Do not use abrasive cleaning pads of gritty soap powders.
Do not use damaged enamelware for hot food and beverages.
Do not use vinaigrette for cleaning.
Do not use in microwave.
Do not throw you enamelware.
Enamel is hard material that can survive a lot. However, exposed to big pressure it will break (just like glass).
- What is enamel? -
Enamel is a material produced by fusing powdered glass to a substrate. It is fired with additive pigments. Covering steel elements with enamel protects the base material from rust, gives the ware a pleasing aesthetic, and guarantees health and safety when enamelware is used in the kitchen. Its durability is the result of firing at high temperatures (about 850°C) This not only makes it durable, but also makes it suitable for use on any cooker (including induction hobs) and makes it dishwasher-safe.
